From February 9 to 16, 2026, the souvenir shops of Krka National Park will once again become a meeting place of kindness, knowledge, and love for books through the humanitarian campaign “Book from the Heart”.
Participation is simple: bring at least two books in good condition, and in return you will receive the beautiful photomonograph Legend of Krka (in Croatian), one of the most attractive publications of Krka National Park.
The campaign is taking place for the fourth consecutive year and has become a beautiful tradition of giving in February – the month of love – when we celebrate both Valentine’s Day and the International Book Giving Day (February 14). The collected books will be donated to a selected association or institution, spreading the joy of reading and giving books new life and new readers.
You can donate books at the souvenir shops in Šibenik and Drniš from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 15:00, and at the souvenir shop at Skradinski buk every day from 9:00 to 16:00.
The photomonograph Legend of Krka, featuring the magical photographs of Davor Šarić and the poetic text by Veljko Barbieri, is the perfect combination of nature, art, and words – an ideal Valentine’s gift that can also remain a cherished souvenir from the Park.
Through this campaign, Krka National Park actively promotes a culture of reading, giving, and sharing knowledge. Because books connect people, awaken emotions, and spread love – just like the Krka River.
