Krka National Park celebrates its 41st birthday with a rich program and free admission

Krka National Park is celebrating its 41st birthday this year, and the celebration will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, as part of the Green Eye Festival (GEF). On this occasion, a rich all-day program for all generations has been prepared, with free entry to selected locations.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., free entry applies to Skradinski buk as well as the educational-presentation centers Krka Eco Campus in Puljane and Krka – Source of Life in Kistanje.

At Skradinski buk, visitors can look forward to an interesting photo exhibition “Invisible Giants in Krka National Park”, which showcases the fascinating world of pollinators – insects crucial for biodiversity. Throughout the day, creative workshops will also be held, such as the 3R workshop and the “Thread by Thread – Apron” workshop.

The central part of the celebration will be at the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane, where numerous activities have been prepared: making bee hotels, children’s games and creative workshops, an educational workshop on pollinators and the bee dance (in collaboration with students from the Faculty of Science and Park volunteers), the program “From the Pen of a Volunteer” with games and stories for children, an exhibition of the volunteer program, and the final screening of the film Every Little Thing.

Krka National Park is known for its natural beauties, one of the most recognizable being the island Visovac with its monastery of the same name – an oasis of peace in the middle of the lake, ideal for spiritual respite and enjoyment of untouched nature (more at www.visovac.hr).

The day before, on Friday, January 23 at 8:30 p.m., a special concert by Marko Kutlić will be held as a thank you to members of the Krka Friends Club. Tickets (two per member) can be picked up from January 21 at the Park’s administrative building, upon presentation of the membership card.

Come and celebrate with us – nature connects us all! 🎉
