How to get to Visovac
The island can only be reached by boat.
The island and monastery of Visovac are located in the heart of Krka National Park and can be accessed exclusively by boat. There are two official departure points: Stinica (the most commonly used) and Remetić. Below is a complete guide – how to get there by car, where to park, boat schedules, and prices.
How to get to the Stinica (and Remetića) boat dock
From the direction of Šibenik / Skradin
→ Drive on the state road D33 towards Drniš.
→ At Pakovo Selo, turn left towards Miljevci (marked with a sign).
→ Continue on the main road across the Čikola canyon.
→ After the canyon, drive for about another minute to the T-junction at the hamlet of Donji Vlaići.
→ Turn left towards Ključ / Drinovci (signs for Visovac).
→ After 5 minutes, you reach a junction with the Chapel of St. Anne in the middle.
→ Take the second exit.
→ After another 1 km, you arrive at a large viewpoint with a Croatian flag and a monument to King Petar Svačić (stop here – the view of Visovac is fantastic!).
→ From the viewpoint, a winding road descends straight down to Stinica – there is free parking and the boat dock.
From the direction of Drniš / Knin
→ Follow the signs for Miljevci – Širitovci.
→ In Širitovci, turn left towards Brištani.
→ You immediately reach the same junction with the Chapel of St. Anne and continue towards Stinica (signs are clear).
Remetić is accessed from the direction of Drniš via Brištani – signs are in place, and parking is also free.
(Note: Boat services to Visovac from Stinica and Remetić typically operate from April to October, with round-trip fares around €10–15 per person depending on the season. Schedules vary; check the official Krka National Park website or on-site for the latest details, as direct short transfers are managed separately from longer park excursions.)
